Derek Erb
A Farmer with a True Passion for the Family Farm
Derek Erb and his wife Erin are thrilled about their association with Pioneer Hi-Bred, a world leader in the seed industry, because of Pioneer’s commitment to the grassroots of agriculture, the Farmer. Along with selling superior products from Pioneer Hi-Bred in Manitoba, Derek is a Farmer in the R.M. of MacDonald.
Derek grew up on the family farm in Oak Bluff, Manitoba. With his love for farming and his desire to further his education, Derek enrolled in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba. Derek has obtained his Agriculture Diploma, as well as he is a member of the Manitoba Institute of Agrologist’s.
While Derek has had other employment in the agricultural sector, the family farm has always been his true passion. Derek’s parents and brothers; who he farms approximately 6000 acres with, have been extremely supportive of his new opportunity which does not go unnoticed.
Some of the hardest working and honest people I know are farmers; and with that said I feel that I have teamed up with the right seed, as Pioneer Hi-Bred has the highest quality and most consistently reliable varieties around. Since I am a Farmer first, and salesman second, I have tried many brands and varieties of seeds out there in my many years of farming. I know what performs and what doesn’t. I am quite comfortable having my name associated with Pioneer Hi-Bred.
